HOW GREEN IS KLAUSS BOEHLER KOLLEKTION?

Klauss Boehler Kollektion likes to stay a step ahead; therefore it prides itself on being a progressive apparel maker. Klauss Boehler has been taking environmental initiatives for over 8 seasons through its use of biodegradable fibers such as bamboo and kapok in its fabric blends. The use of bamboo as an alternative fiber for garment fabrication was relatively unknown back in early 2000. However, at that time, Klauss Boehler had already developed several styles using bamboo fiber notable for its soft feel and natural antibacterial properties.

More recently Klauss Boehler has enlisted the use of Kapok in its clothing fabrication. According to the Hohensteiner Institute in Germany, Kapok is the lightest natural fiber in the world. Six times as light as cotton and very elastic, this fiber is hypoallergenic and 100% recyclable. Kapok is not cultivated in monoculture; it grows in the wild and is free of any chemicals or fertilizers.

Klauss Boehler Kollektion, in association with North American holding company Angomode Inc., ensures the distribution is committed to environmental responsibility. Eco-friendly procedures take place in various areas of the company from garment manufacturing to administration.

Together with its suppliers, Klauss Boehler takes special care in assuring that its dye procedures are environmentally safe; along with promoting a paperless environment through its use of email and strict recycling guidelines.
